How To Donate

Donating to your local community is important!

When you make the choice to donate to Habitat for Humanity your donations stay in your community and benefit those who live there in many tangible and intangible ways. 

• NW Metro Atlanta Habitat works to build a stronger tax base in your community by removing foreclosed home(s) from the market, improving the property and placing a first-time homebuyer in it who pays property taxes and becomes a responsible, contributing member of your county.
• These rehabilitations (rehabs) attract local media attention drawing the public's attention to the positive changes taking place in your community.
  
• Corporate and organization teams who volunteer to work on these rehabs are strengthened by working together to accomplish a tangible goal. 
• Neighborhoods are positively impacted by this development that increases home values and improves neighborhood safety. 
• Individual families are given the opportunity to live the American dream by owning a home and discovering the value of neighborhood living.  
• Most significantly, the contributions made by indivuals and organiations impact not only a single  family and community, but also future generations. Houses become homes and those homes will continue to be a presence in the community for many generations to come.

Each gift you make is a significant investment in giving back to the community and in helping a family in need of decent shelter.

All NW Metro Atlanta Habitat for Humanity donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged with a letter you may use for those purposes.

We take seriously our responsibility to contributors and to those counting on our help to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us.

• Mail your donation(s) to the local Satelitte office:

• Please indicate in the Program Designation box which county you want your donation to benefit--Douglas or Paulding County.
  
• In the Dedication area click on either:
  
• on behalf of (e.g., Harmony House Build [church coalition] or other group)
  
• in honor of (e.g., birthday, wedding, anniversary, or other special occasion)
  
• in memory of (e.g., deceased family member or friend, anniversary of a passing, honor a fallen hero, etc.)
  
• Once you've made your choice, type the details of your donation in the box below your Dedication selection.

We support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by contributing a tithe (10%) of all unrestricted donations.  Our tithes go to building homes for families in Uganda; as of the end of 2008, our tithes have made possible the construction of over 322 homes in Uganda (learn more here).
